My Story of Becoming a
Board Certified Functional Medicine
Health Coach

My petite stature has made me conscious of my eating and exercise habits since childhood. A doctor’s health warning that I would develop type 2 diabetes due to the size of my first baby prompted me to research online, read books, and listen to functional medicine doctors like
Dr. Mark Hyman, Dr. Jeffrey Bland,
Dr. Steven Gundry, Dr. David Perlmutter,
Dr. Taz, Dr. Chris Kresser, Dr. Josh Axe,
Dr. Casey Means, and Dr. Peter Attia, as well as longevity experts such as
JJ Virgin and David Asprey.

Delving deep into functional medicine under these luminaries helped me learn about the body’s seven core functions and how they are interrelated. After raising my three children, I decided to formally study how to help others improve their lifestyle behaviors long-term and became a certified functional medicine health coach to carry out this mission.
